ABOUT
Cydney is a multi-disciplinary artist with a passion for education and performance. Her students have embodied her instruction to become professional artists and performers with cruise ships, commercials, industrials, and music videos. She firmly believes in the proper education of the next generation of dancers so that they may have the longevity and success required to be a dancer in today's industry.
She has been seen on stage across the United States and Europe with In This Moment and has been nationally recognized on television shows like The Ellen Degeneres Show and Murder in the First. She has performed in music videos with In This Moment, Harriet, Daya, and Seth Power. Her resume boasts a multitude of works from theaters to cruise ships to film, and she continues to pursue a performing career while teaching across the United States as a guest teacher and judge.
She is also available as a creative director and stage manager. She is the current Dance Event Coordinator for Festival South and the stage manager for several pageants across the Southeast. She is also available as a professional music editor and mixer.
Cydney began her dance training at the age of 2 in Hattiesburg, MS. She continued to study ballet, tap, and jazz until the age of 14 when she navigated her dance study to a professional career. Under the instruction of multiple teachers from different studios and conventions, her artistry and technique soared.
When she was 18, she was offered a scholarship to the Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles, CA, where she studied daily with today’s world-renowned choreographers and teachers. She has been blessed with many opportunities and one of her greatest passions is being a mentor to young dancers and artists with professional knowledge and advice gathered from her performing and choreographing experience. Her most recent projects include dancing on Netflix's "Tall Girl 2", working with Norwegian Cruise Lines, portraying the role of “Annie” in Chicago, the Musical, dancing as a principal on CLAWS (TNT), performing in the Genesis Halftime Show for Lil’ Wayne, and being a principal dancer for Hardrock Entertainment.
She continues to pursue a performing career while teaching and choreographing across the U.S. Her classes can be described as motivational, energetic, and fast-paced but still skill level appropriate. She is able to cater to the weakest dancer in the room while still challenging the most advanced. Each dancer deserves their moment to shine, and it is her ultimate goal to help her students find their light. She enjoys teaching technique in all disciplines and with her versatile skill set her choreography is often a fusion of multiple techniques from each style. This is a genuinely unique experience for her students to take a class with many facets of technique, choreography, and style.
In addition to dance, Cydney is also a music editor, photographer & videographer, and former makeup artist. She is a certified spray tan technician. She is available for video editing for auditions, concept videos, and advertising projects. To view samples of her work, please message her or visit the links below!
